"Industry is also strongly represented.
"It (RIIEW) is an important platform, not only for ZEGU, but the nation at large," said Mrs Chirisa.
The first day lived up to its billing with as a number of papers were presented by various speakers from different institutions across the country.
Top of the agenda for the RIIEW includes showcasing pioneering research and innovative projects from across disciplines; foster dialogue between academia, industry, and government for impact-driven collaboration; inspire entrepreneurial thinking and highlight student start-ups and community enterprises, and to explore solutions to real-world challenges through research-informed innovation, among others.
