New era beckons for library, information services

ZEGU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Innocent Chirisa has been inaugurated into the prestigious National Libraries Council where he will serve as the Deputy Chairperson of the 15-member body tasked by the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Hon. Professor Torerayi Moyo to advise the latter on policy direction, regulatory frameworks and the strategic modernisation of library and information services in Zimbabwe.

Libraries play an important role as they provide equitable access to knowledge, digital transformation and human capital development in line with Vision 2030 and the National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2).
